Magazine Collage Art- Mila Lynn

Magazine Repurposing

Artwork that is fun and environmentally conscious.

The Repurpose Project Tampa Fl

The collage technique I use was developed in January 2019. I NEEDED to create to the point that I literally could no longer focus on anything else. I didn’t want to start a new painting since I was moving soon. So the thought went through my head to start chopping up the magazines I never took time to read. I didn’t want them to go to waste. After that first piece I was excited to see what else I could create out of what I had.

For me this process is so closely related to how we navigate life. You only have what you have, but how you choose to use what you have is what actually matters. This is how beautiful art is made, and also how amazing people are able to make a difference in this life.

I want my collectors to feel like they have gained something after purchasing a piece. I want them to allow themselves to see what makes them an “individual clipping,” but even moreso how that “clipping” plays an important role in the final masterpiece....life.

Collage Artwork is for sale for commission, there is more information on the current collection here. Please email mila@mindofmila.com for inquiries regarding pieces from The Repurpose Project Tampa 2019.
